Funeral Thinking
November 13, 2007 – 3:55 pmToday I have been faced with thinking about two funerals (one tomorrow and one Thursday). Both individuals I didn’t know because they are from a church that I am covering while the pastor is recovering from a surgery himself. Two services in two days for two entirely different people. First a non-church going Prodestant and the other a very active member of the church. The first, in the funeral home and the other at the church with communion. The first, a 59 year old and surviving is just his wife and the other an 83 year old and surviving is his spouse and several children, 17 grands, and 16 great-grands.
And with all the difference the common factor - God’s desire for both. Anywa, I’ll post more as the services of death and resurrection develop. Any thoughts?
