Inactive members and the connection.
November 14, 2007 – 11:38 amWhat if local churches that could not seem to engage inactive members in reengaging with their congregation were to share their inactive list with the other local UMCs? Once a person is removed from membership from either a withdrawal or Charge Conference, do you think the Charge should help initiate contact with another local UMC or just share contact information? Do you think that would be beneficial? Would you be willing to share and participate with other churches?

If I were a member of a church that was not attending for some reason I probably would not appreciate information about me being sent any where without my being notified.
