The Reset Button.

It seems that I am having a wilderness experience (Matthew 4) of sorts. I have been thinking about it as short-circuiting. Whether that means that I am being inundated with temptation right now or my thinking process is off or I have some kind of hormonal imbalance - I can’t seem to pinpoint the root of the issue, but I can describe the manifestations of the issue. In my personal life (work seems to be good/normal) I have been failing to achieve the two or three goals that I have set for myself. In fact, I think that it is failing to meet these goals that has me in a personal tailspin. And the “short-circuit” is that I can’t seem to get motivate to do the things that would help me achieve the goals. I think about them a lot. I strategize about them, but I can’t (or won’t) take the step towards the goal.

I have a wireless router that every once in a while short-circuits. Something happens and it starts to malfunction. It has a reset button on it. If you unplug it and press the reset button, everything reset and it begins to work again. I think it gets too hot or something. Regardless of the cause, the reset button is the key.

Wouldn’t it be great if life came with a reset button! Maybe it does!
