Follow-up on the Death of German and French…

February 19, 2008 – 5:35 am

February 13, 2008

Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Board of Education appreciates the information provided by our community in our World Languages Survey.  We are especially grateful to those who attended our Board meeting of February 5 to share their thoughts on this important subject.

The Board listened to community input, and the survey responses were reviewed by Board Committees.  As a result of your feedback, our students will continue to have choices of  French, German and Spanish at the high school for the foreseeable future.

If your son or daughter is an eighth grader who has already submitted his/her class requests for next year, he/she will be contacted by our guidance department and given an opportunity to change his/her world language choice.

Details regarding our revised world language plan will be available at our Board meeting on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school media center.  As always, we invite your participation and encourage you to join us.

 Sincerely,

 Spotswood Board of Education
