Confirmation Project - Day 2

May 13, 2008 – 5:03 pm

Today was a day spent mourning.  I had a personal loss today, but my loss is only compounded by the loss of so many lives in the past 10 days.  Between Cyclone Nargis and yesterday’s earthquake there have been so many lives lost.  So many left mourning!  The personal and local connects me through the Spirit to the communal and global.  Questions about the nature of God continue to surface.  God’s grace, mercy, love, blessing, and power in the midst of tragedy.  In the midst of it all - God is!

  2. On Tuesday I thought about the twisters and how many people died and lost thigs. People’s churches were distroyed but it doesn’t stop them from praying, worshiping and loving God. Remember God when you are feeling bad and he will help you.

  3. I am thankful today for what a great family i have and am happy. I hope God will help the kids who don’t have a great family grow so that they can and be happy through life and not struggle.
